On January 31, 2007, the Chinese government donated medical supplies to the Indonesian Ministry of Health through the World Health Organization (WHO) in response to the 2004 tsunami. Project narrative

On January 31, 2007, the Chinese government donated medical supplies to the Indonesian Ministry of Health through the World Health Organization (WHO) in response to the 2004 tsunami. A total of USD 2.13 million of aid materials, including 15 ambulances, 10 cooling containers for blood preservation and 10 operating suits, as well as X-ray, ultrasonography and electrocardiogram units will be donated to Aceh Hospital and Medical Center. According to the ministry's Crisis Mitigation Center head, Rustam S. Pakaya, some of the aid has already been distributed to Aceh and Nias.
