Project narrative

On April 12, 2011, the Hanban Deputy Director Hu Zhiping and the Brazilian Ambassador signed the agreement for the establishment of the Confucius Institute at Rio Grande do Sul Federal University. In November 2010, Dean of College of Foreign Language Education Pang Yu and the Brazilian Embassy Cultural attaché of education met with Xu Lin, Director of Hanban, to discuss plans for the institute. Baxi Nan Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul prepared the implementation agreement, including details such as the construction budget. However, financial details of this project are unknown.
