Project narrative

According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Financial Tracking Service (flow ID #2208), in 2000, the Chinese government donated $5 million USD in cash to the Government of Pakistan for food security following a severe drought in April 2000. Sindh and Balochistan were hit particularly hard. This donation is marked as fully paid. China also donated $50,000 USD to Pakistan's Red Crescent Society for these same drought relief efforts (Record ID#35075).
