Project narrative

In 2013, China sent 103 volunteer teachers for a teaching assignment in Indonesia for the academic year 2013/2014. According to the agreement signed by the Chinese Education Sector and Indonesia, China Hanban dispatched volunteer Chinese teachers to help local Chinese teaching to Indonesia each year. For the academic year of 2013-2014, Hanban had sent a total of 103 primary and secondary schools all over Indonesia to teach the Chinese language and ease the shortage of local Chinese language teachers, so as to improve the level of Chinese teaching in Indonesia contributed. On 24 June 2014, the Chinese Ambassador for Culture and Education in Indonesia, Shao Yi Wu, attended the farewell ceremony at the airport. He thanked the Chinese teachers for completing their outstanding tasks and wish them a safe return to China.
