Project narrative

In June 2012, China donated 38 vehicles to Vanuatu to host the 37th session of the ACP-EU Council of Ministers – the highest decision-making body of the ACP-EU partnership. More than 300 officials from the European Union and the Group of African, Caribbean and Pacific States attended. China donated cars to help with the transport of dignitaries. These cars were then donated to 8 schools and 4 government institutions in March 2013: Onesua Presbyterian College, College de Luganville, Ecole Technique de Saint Michel, College de Montmarte, Malapoa College, Lycee LAB, and Sainte Anne on Santo. The 25-seater buses were donated to Vanuatu Maritime College, Parliament House, Vanuatu Police Force, Vanuatu Agriculture College and Lakatoro School on Malekula. The project implementer was FAW Group Corporation.
