Project narrative

On 4 July 2014 Group Assistant President and Chair of CITIC Hong Bo and Mr. Ohn Myint, Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Rural Development in the capital of Myanmar, met in Nay Pi Daw to sign “The MOU of Myanmar Rural Area Development Program Donated by CITIC Group and CP Group” and to launch the “Village Fund Project”. The three promoters of the projects are CITIC, Myanmar and CP Group of Thailand. With regard to the project, CITIC committed to donate 50 “Love clinics” and provide training for the doctors in order to improve healthcare in Myanmar’s rural areas. CITIC is involved in rural development in Myanmar also through additional projects, such as concession of loans (#38442) and construction of schools (#39236).
