Project narrative

On April 19, 2010, the All-China Women's Federation donated 750 sewing machines to Fiji Women's Federation, valued at 187,500 Fiji dollars (96,825 U.S. dollars). The machines were handed over and distributed to different communities to become a sustainable source of income for rural women. In 2009, China has donated 200 sewing machines, and in 2011, China donated another 1000 machines to Fiji (see Record ID#39321).
