Project narrative

On September 21, 2011, China handed over a batch of media equipment to the Fijian government. The equipment, including 10 portable computers, 20 digital cameras, 10 flat-panel TVs, and 10 desktop computers, was handed over by Chinese Ambassador Huang Yong to Fijian Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office Pio Tikoduadua on behalf of respective governments. The equipment will be used by the Fiji Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Information, the Suva City Library, and Fiji Television. Ambassador Huang stated in his speech that this batch of office equipment is a commitment made on behalf of the Chinese government by Cai Mingzhao, Vice Minister of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, during his visit to Fiji in May 2011. The shipment arrived at Suva Airport on September 6, 2011.
