Project narrative

On September 11, 2014, the Chinese "Peace Ark" Naval Hospital Ship arrived in Port Moresby Wharf in PNG. The ship's 8-day mission, from September 11th to 18th, focused on supplying Humanitarian Aid medical service to PNG residents. The boat had over 300 crew members. The boat included the eye clinic, laboratory, ultrasound room, disinfectant and supply room, Chinese traditional medicine room, information centre, intensive care unit, operating room and emergency room. In Port Moresby, the hospital ship provided outpatient services for 4,591 people, auxiliary examinations (such as CT and DR) for 2,391 people, and 47 operations.
