Project narrative

On November 15, 2011, the Chinese Government officially donated $300,000 USD to the Government of the Bahamas to help rebuild after Hurricane Irene (see Umbrella Record ID#39667). Of this total amount, $10,000 USD was allocated towards rebuilding Colonel Hill High School on Crooked Island. This donation was officially handed over to the Bahamas Ministry of Education on December 13, 2011. As of September 10, 2012 no repairs had yet been made to the school.
