Project narrative

On December 23, 2014, Ambassador Huang Xingyuan handed over 1 Million RMB worth of supplies to Lady Hochoy Home in Cocorite, which serves as a day care and education center for physically-challenged children. This donation included two new ramp-accessible buses, six nursing beds, three computers and more than a dozen kitchenware items. The donation followed a 2013 visit to the home by First Lady of China Peng Liyuan to the home, where the aid was initially promised. The donation ceremony was attended by Ambassador Huang Xingyuan and First Lady of Trinidad and Tobago Reema Carmona, who handed over the materials to superintendent Sister Bertill Dean.
