Project narrative

In 2014, government officials from China and Trinidad and Tobago signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding sports cooperation. Then, on 27 April 2015, China handed over a collection of sports equipment worth 10 million RMB to the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Education. These goods were then distributed to primary schools across the country. The donation included: 1,300 pairs of badminton poles, 5,200 badminton rackets, 1,300 barrels of badminton shuttle cocks, 1,300 table-tennis boards, 5,200 table-tennis rackets, 10,000 sets of tennis balls (3 balls per set), 5,000 footballs, 1,000 volleyball nets, 5,000 volleyballs and 5,000 basketballs.
