Description

On March 21, 2012, China signed four agreements, one of which were Letters of Exchange that committed a grant of 6.4 million RMB for the maintenance of the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium. These funds may have been allocated from a previously signed Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA), though it is unknown which. They also signed three other agreements, one of which was for a grant through an ETCA for the construction of the Five Islands Secondary School for an amount of 30 million RMB (See: project ID #40702). Another was a second ETCA for unspecified project, also providing 30 million RMB (see #64618). The third was another set of Letters of Exchange, for an unknown project. Later, on September 20, 2013, Chinese Ambassador Ren Gongping and the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda signed further ETCAs for the maintenance of Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium. On March 18 and 26, 2010 an exchange of letters were signed that say there will be a technical cooperation agreement of two years undertaken by China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Renovation on the facility included the installation of new seats, the improvement of water supply in the building, the improvement of fire suppression systems, upgrades to air conditioning, and repainting. On March 11, 2016, a ceremony was held at the Prime Minister's Office to recognize the completion of the renovation.

Additional details
