Project narrative

On Dec. 12, 2010, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed to send two Chinese language and culture instructors from the Confucius Institute of the People's Republic of China(or HANBAN) to the University of West Indies (UWI) St. Augustine Campus. According to the MOA, HANBAN will provide two Chinese instructors to teach Chinese language at UWI from January 11, 2011 to December 31, 2014. Only one Chinese lecturer was actually sent and the program completed at the designated date.
