Project narrative

After storm Erika hit Dominica on August 28, 2015, the Chinese government gave 300 thousand USD as emergency humanitarian assistance. The funds are meant "to convey the Chinese government and people's sympathy and support to the government and people of Dominica" to assist in the start of disaster relief and support housing reconstruction, according to the ministry of commerce of Dominica. The Chinese funding agency is unknown. This project is linked to Record ID#55332 which captures an addition of $200,000 in emergency relief funding.
