Project narrative

On February 19, 2003 China's Public Security Ministry donated police equipment to the Kazakh Interior Ministry in Almaty. The total cost was 1mil yuan. The police equipment and technology supplied by China includes night vision devices, metal detectors, microscopes, tape recorders, computers, scanners, printers, photo equipment, telephones and flashlights. The agreement on the supply of special equipment by the Chinese Public Security Ministry as technical no-strings aid to the Kazakh Interior Ministry was signed by the sides in Beijing on November 18, 2002.
