Project narrative

On August 31, 2004, 18 trainees from 10 countries received diplomas for the completion of a two-month training session on solar energy technologies in Gansu Province, northwest China. The 2004 International Solar Energy Training Workshop was sponsored by the Gansu Natural Energy Research Institute and the Asia-Pacific Research and Training Center for Solar Energy. The trainees studied solar energy technology through class teaching, field visits, and hands-on operations and hailed from Angola, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sudan, Mongolia, Thailand, and Romania. The monetary value of the training session is unknown. This workshop is held annually and each term lasts for about 1-2 months.
