Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On August 1, 2008, the Chinese Government handed over a total of 105 vehicles, consisting of 80 buses, five garbage trucks, and 20 executive cars for use during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit to Tajikistan. This project appears to correspond to project TJK/082181 in the Tajikistan AIMS database, which captures the "supply of buses and technical equipment for community facilities." AIMS reported that the vehicles were worth $2,739,726 USD.

Staff comments

Intent was coded as "Mixed" because the provision of executive cars was for the SCO summit.
