Project narrative

In 2009, Hu Jintao, President of the People's Republic of China, said that China will grant Kyrgyzstan 80 million yuan, during bilateral meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart Kurmanbek Bakiev in Yekaterinburg on June 15. The president of China pointed that trade and economic relations between the countries have reached new level. The sides have discussed political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation as bilateral so in line of the SCO. Hu Jintao confirmed interest of China in construction of railway from the People's Republic to Central Asia through Kyrgyzstan. President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiev outlined that Kyrgyz-Chinese relations were developing dynamically. He specially mentioned successful implementation of projects on construction of Osh-Sary-Tash-Irkeshtam road and Kyzyl-Kiya asphalt and concrete plant, supported by China.
