Description
On May 27, 2006, China's State Administration of Cultural Heritage launched the implementation of the Bogd Khan Palace Museum Restoration Project. This project involved dispatching experts to restore the front gate and the ceremony square in the second of the two courtyards of the Bogd Khan Palace Museum. The Chinese Government reportedly committed RMB 6 million of grant funding for the implementation of the project. The project implementation period was expected to last two years and it was eventually completed. On October 8, 2007, the restoration of the museum was completed.

The Mongolian project title is Богд хааны ногоон ордон. Bogd Khan Palace Museum is a museum complex located in the city of Ulaanbaatar (exact locational coordinates: 47.8975, 106.906667). It was the Green Palace of the eighth Jebtsundamba Khutughtu, who was later proclaimed Bogd Khan, or ruler of Mongolia. The palace is the only one left from originally four residences of the Bogd Khan.
