Project narrative

On October 25, 2013, China and Mongolia on Friday signed a document that outlines key areas of cooperation for the development of their strategic partnership in the medium and long term. The document was signed by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and visiting Mongolian Prime Minister Altankhuyag Norov to provide 1,000 scholarships for Mongolians over the next five years. The China-Mongolia Culture and Education Fund was established in 2014 to fulfill this purpose and awarded 284 scholarships to Mongolian students between 2014 and 2018 (captured in umbrella Record ID#86933).
