Project narrative

On March 15, 2001, the Chinese Government donated 12 home-made computers to Jordan's Ministry of Culture as part of cultural aid to the kingdom. At a handover ceremony in Amman, the Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Qiu Shengyun said that the donation of the computers served as a token of Chinese friendship towards the Jordanian people. The ‘Legend’ computers, valued at RMB 200,000 (or $23,800), were donated by the Chinese Ministry of Culture.
