Project narrative

On January 21, 2009, the Chinese Government pledged a $1 million donation to the United Nations Relief Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA) during a 'Support Gaza' fundraiser. This donation was to be used for Palestinians in Gaza in urgent need of food, medicine, and other supplies. The donation was carried out on January 22, 2009 via the Chinese Embassy in Syria.
