Project narrative

On November 13th, 2013, President of China Xi Jinping announced a grant of RMB 100 million as a gift on the occasion of the President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi's visit to China. The grant was given in a Yemeni-Chinese official talk session held in Beijing chaired by the two countries' presidents. At this session, China also pledged a 50 million RMB grant to the Yemeni Defense Ministry (as captured by linked Record ID#41198) and a RMB 200 million long-term interest-free loan (as captured by linked Record ID#41199) to Yemen.
