Project narrative

On March 15, 2008, the Chinese Government and the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) signed letters of exchange, which committed $500,000 of grant funding for the provision of humanitarian assistance to residents of the Gaza Strip. The Secretary General of the Palestinian Presidency, Tayeb Abdel Rahim, and the Director of the Office of the People's Republic of China in Palestine, Yang Wiguo, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective governments. A humanitarian assistance handover certificate was issued in September 2008.
