Full Description

Project narrative

The Chinese State Meteorological Bureau donated equipment for receiving satellite telecommunications, computers and other equipment to the hydrometeorological service of the DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea). Chinese Ambassador to Korea Wang Guozhang and embassy officials handed equipment to the service on the spot on Aug.3, 2000. The Chinese State Meteorological Bureau's donation of equipment in the wake of its presentation in April this year against the backdrop of the daily deepening DPRK-China friendship will help develop the hydrometeorological work in the DPRK.
