Description

On October 23, 2007, the Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban) and the University of Tehran signed an agreement to establish a Confucius Institute at the University of Tehran in collaboration with Yunnan University. The Confucius Institute is a non-profit school specializing in Chinese language training and cultural communication. The Confucius Institute began some operations at the University of Tehran as early as July 2008, but it did not officially open until January 12, 2009.
