Description

On March 17-18, 2005, the Azerbaijani visited China and signed a memorandum on technical assistance between the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Azerbaijans Foreign Ministry. As part of this ETCA, China agreed to provide 15,000,000 yuan to Azerbaijan. 10 million of this is for construction projects, and the other 5 million is for general economic assistance. According to a MOFCOM source from 2008, the aid has not yet been implemented, and the status of the grants remains unknown.

Additional details

One of the sources below states that the grant is worth 150,000,000 yuan, but also states that it is worth US$1.8Mn, which would only be 15 million yuan. As such, this 150 million yuan figure is regarded as a typo.
