Project narrative

In 2011, the Chinese Government deployed peacekeeping police to Cyprus to support the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus (UNFICYP), which was established under United Nations Security Council Resolution 186 in 1964 to prevent a return of violence following intercommunal fighting between Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots.
