Project narrative

In 2014, the Chinese Government and the Government of the Republic of Congo signed a CFA 50 million (approximately $100,000) grant agreement to promote biodiversity conservation activities within Odzala-Kokoua National Park. Some of the grant proceeds were also earmarked for the construction of a road to link the new part of the park to a National Highway. According to Central China Normal University, this grant was provided by Chinese Embassy to Congo in 2016, and another grant of $70,000 was also given for the conservation of the Odzala-Kokoua National Park (described in Record ID#52179).
