Project narrative

On 5 May, 2014, the Chinese Embassy in Zimbabwe donated 24 electricity generators to Zimbabwe’s Primary and Secondary Education Ministry. Zimbabwe Red Cross Society (ZRCS) was involved in project implementation. China’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe Lin Lin said 12 primary and secondary schools around Tokwe-Mukosi Dam in Masvingo received the donation. The additional energy at the schools will reportedly create better conditions for schools benefiting teachers and students. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. The Chinese project name is 民生项目.
