Project narrative

On February 1, 2001, a Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs official announced that the Chinese government had decided to send a medical rescue team to Gujarat, India following the January 26, 2001 earthquake. The duration of the team's stay and the value of this project is unknown. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) Financial Tracking Service lists the project as flow ID #2806 and reports it as completed.
