Description

On October 10, 2003, it was reported that China would finance the construction of a 5.0 mln Bosnian marks ($2.26 mln/1.9 mln euro) school in Bosnia-Herzegovina's capital Sarajevo. Chinese experts have prepared a feasibility study for the construction project, which was to start earlier in 2003, but was delayed due to the breakout of the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). The current status of this project is unknown. China previously donated $1.2 mln (1.05 mln euro) to Bosnia-Herzegovina for the construction of two secondary schools in Sarajevo's Novi Grad municipality in November 2001 (see project #42051).
