Description
In December 2004, Belbiopharm (“Белбиофарм”) — a state-owned company in Belarus that was subsequently liquidated in 2011 — and China National Medicines and Health Products Import and Export Corporation (MENESO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the possibility of jointly implementing a pill production line at the Borisov Medicine Production Plant with support from a $20 million concessional loan from the Chinese Government. Then, in March 2005, a business plan for this project was updated. However, it does not appear that this project was every implemented with support from a Chinese Government loan.
