Project narrative

On December 22, 2000, the Chinese Government and the Government of Bulgaria signed an exchange of letters, which committed RMB 5 million of grant funding ($600,000) for education and social sector projects in Bulgaria. The agreement was signed by Nadezhda Mihailova (Nadezhda Mikhaylova), the Foreign Minister of Bulgaria, and Tang Jiaxuan, and the Chinese Foreign Minister. It is unclear whether or how this financial commitment was implemented.
