Project narrative

On May 22, 2013, Ambassador Ye Hao attended the signing ceremony between the Confucius Institute Headquarters and the University of Tirana to build a Confucius Institute in Tirana. Albanian Deputy Foreign Minister Chorakul, Deputy Minister of Education and Technology Samata, and President of the University of Tirana Kulei attended the meeting. The Institute will teach the Chinese language, organize cultural activities, including lectures and exhibitions, and support local businesses with information and assistance in engaging with the Chinese market. Kule and Han Zhen, Principal of Beijing Foreign Studies University, signed an official cooperation agreement as the Confucius Institute is a partnership between Tirana and Beijing Foreign Studies University. On November 18, 2013 Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama launched the Confucius Institute at the University of Tirana.
