Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On July 10, 2013, the Prime Minister of Moldova and the Chinese Ambassador to Moldova signed a grant agreement for China, which committed funding for the provision of 1,200 computers and 200 printers to various schools across the country. On November 26, 2013, the Technical University of Moldova held a donation ceremony for the computers that it received as part of this agreement. Then, on December 6, 2013, a ceremony was held for 40 computers that were donated to Moldovan State University of Medicine and Pharmacy through this agreement. It is unclear if, or how many, other schools received computers and printers through this agreement.

Staff comments

We cannot rule out the possibility that this project is a duplicate of Record ID#73190 (a donation of 1,500 computers). However, we assume that they are separate for the time being because Record ID#73190 was reportedly completed on September 21, 2013, and Record ID#42500 involved the provision of computers in November 2013 and December 2013.
