Full Description

Project narrative

On January 22, 2004, the donation protocol was signed for the donation of 350 million leu from the Chinese Embassy to the Romanian Parliament. The aid will be used to purchase office equipment and computers for the Chamber of Deputies. The protocol was signed in the presence of the Chamber of Deputies' Speaker Valer Dorneanu, the Chinese Embassy's chargee d'affaires Wang Tieshan, and the Chamber's secretary-general Mihai Ungheanu. On June 14, 2004, the Romanian Minister of Economy and Trade, Dan Ioan Popescu, and the Chinese Minister of Trade, Bo Xilai, signed a paper confirming the donation had been received.
