Description

On November 4, 2005, China and Russia signed a memorandum of understanding concerning Chinese humanitarian aid given to Russia in response to the Beslan terrorist attacks which affected a number of Russian children. China is providing treatment to a number of those children who suffered various permanent injuries, such as paralysis. They are being treated in China. The Chinese government is covering the 1.6 million yuan cost of the treatment. The Chinese Government also provided 10 million RMB of medical equipment in 2004 after this crisis (see project ID #40516).
