Project narrative

On September 27, 2011, a meeting in Islamabad between the Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Chinese Vice Premier Meng Jianzhu, and Pakistani Army Chief Gen. Ashfaq Kayani resulted in the announcement that the Chinese government would provide a grant to Pakistani law enforcement agencies. The grant, worth 1.2 million USD, was committed to strengthen ties and with an underlying goal of fighting terrorism.
