In May 2013, Sichuan Normal University and the University of Karachi in Pakistan signed an MoU and agreement to establish a Confucius Institute at the University of Karachi in the presence of former President of Pakistan, Mr. Asif ali Zardari and Prime Ministry of China Mr. Li Keqiang.
