Project narrative

On December 7, 2014, a memorandum of agreement and then an implementation agreement were signed for the establishment of a Confucius Institute at the University of the Philippines Diliman. These agreements were respectively signed by UP President Alfredo Pascual and Hanban chief executive Mme. Xu Linthe and UP Diliman Chancellor Michael L. Tan and XMU President Dr. Zhu Chongshi. The Confucius Institute at the University of the Philippines, Diliman Campus, was founded with Xiamen University as its partner. The inauguration ceremony for the institute was held on October 12, 2015. This is the 4th Confucius Institute to be founded in the Philippines.
