Project narrative

The Confucius Institute at Osh State University opened in January, 2013 as the third Confucius Institute in Kyrgyzstan and the first to focus on BA programs in the Chinese language. In 2017, it was awarded a gold medal and recognized as the "best institute" of the year for its contributions towards Kyrgyz-Chinese relations. The award was presented during a meeting of all 625 Confucius Institutes in the city of Xian on December 12.
