Project narrative

In March 2005, the Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban) and Kasetsart University signed a letter of intent to cooperatively establish a Confucius Institute. In 2006, under the authorization of the Chinese Language Council International, China Huaqiao University cooperated closely with Kasetsart University to establish this Confucius Institute. On October 1, 2006, the Confucius institute opened and began offering courses to its students. Kasetsart University, locating in Bangkok, is a famous comprehensive university with more than 20,000 students.
