Project narrative

On September 13, 2014, Tajikistan's President Rahmon signed an agreement on the creation of a Confucius Institute at the Mining and Metallurgy Institute of Tajikistan. The agreement was signed in the presence of Xi Jinping and the Chief Executive of Confucius Institutes, Xu Lin. The Institute was formally created on August 20, 2015. The Institute provides lessons in Chinese and offers lessons in Chinese culture and music. It also offers scholarships to students in Tajikistan.
