Hanban funds establishment of Science and Technology Confucius Institute at Belarusian National Technical University

Project narrative

On December 5, 2013, the Office of Chinese Language Council International (Hanban) and Belarusian National Technical University signed an agreement to establish a Confucius Institute. An opening ceremony for the Confucius Institute at the Belarussian National Technical University was held on October 21, 2014. The institute will teach the Chinese language to local students and adults of different age groups as well as promote Chinese culture. China Northeastern University was the implementing agency. At the time of its opening, this project was the only Confucius Institute of Science and Technology in the world
