Project narrative

On November 22, 2007, the Institute of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University (KNU) in Ukraine and Jilin University in China signed a formal agreement for the creation of a Confucius Institute at KNU. On November 28, 2008, the Confucius Institute was established at the Institute of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University (KNU). In 2013, KNU received an award for promoting Ukrainian and Chinese relations and reportedly has educated 10,000 people at the Confucius Institute since 2007.
