Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On August 30, 2013, the University of Novi Sad in Serbia and partner Chinese university Zhejiang A & F University signed an implementation agreement to establish the Confucius Institute at Novi Sad. The inauguration ceremony was held on May 27, 2014. It is the second such institute established by China’s Hanban in Serbia. The Confucius Institute has established 16 Chinese language teaching points in primary schools, middle schools, and universities in Novi Sad, Belgrade, and Sabac. In addition, CI at UNS has opened Chinese language credit courses at the Faculty of Philosophy of UNS and at Karlovci High School. Karlovci High School was officially granted Confucius Classroom in March 2018. In addition, CI at UNS is also the first Confucius Institute in the world that features the spread of Chinese tea culture.
