Project narrative

During the 1990s, the Chinese Government provided an RMB 50 million loan for the construction Gambogi-Serem road (C680) road, which is located in Vihiga County. On July 2, 2012, the Chinese Government provided a $537,600 USD (48,000,000 Ksh) supplementary grant for the completion of the Gambogi-Serem road in Kenya. The grant was disbursed on December 14, 2012. China Road and Bridge Corporation was the contractor. Construction began in 2012 and was scheduled to be finished on June 30, 2015. According to a FOCAC speech, the project was eventually completed.
