Chinese Government provides RMB 31.6 million grant for Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) Training Center Construction Project

Project narrative

In 2014, China’s Ministry of Commerce provided an RMB 31.6 million grant to the Government of Laos for the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) Training Center Construction Project. The purpose of the project was to construct a training center for the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC). The project covered an area of 3,722 square meters, including the main building (36 dormitories, 2 teacher's apartments, 3 meeting rooms, 1 computer classroom, 4 classrooms, 1 kitchen and kitchen, etc.) and handicraft display area and ancillary rooms. China Railway Engineering Consulting Group Co., Ltd (Design), and Hebei Jianshe Construction Group Co., Ltd. (contractor) were the contractor responsible for implementation. A construction contract was issued on October 31, 2014. Then, on December 12, 2014, construction began. The project was completed on June 30, 2016. A formal project handover ceremony was held on November 17, 2016.
